The communication from day 1 being so clear was very helpful for us. Andy explained every part of the process and answered any questions we had throughout the entire process. The team of people were also super responsive and helped us feel at ease.

We felt that although communication was good; it was also a bit erratic and disorganized. We were told multiple different things concerning closing and we felt that this made the process less efficient and unnecessarily stressful. As one example, we were directed to look into flood insurance and get that started, which we did. Being through this process before, we were familiar with how that worked. Then we were told that we needed to switch our flood insurance instead of paying outright, and that it needed to be put into the escrow on the day of closing, which meant that we already spent a large chunk of money out of pocket for flood insurance upfront. Now we won’t be reimbursed for this until the beginning of next year which is over six months from now. Previous correspondence from the underwriter led us to believe that how we had paid for our flood insurance originally was fine.
We also felt that the tasks that were listed for us to complete would have been made a bit more clear and efficient had there been groupings of tasks, that we could then be notified about at one time in order to complete them instead of one document at a time which is what was happening most of the time. We both were not able to be checking our emails all of the time so sometimes we would miss documents that were important that we needed to sign and we’d be getting excess urgent email notifications.
