I received gift funds as part of my payment. I was told that this was “done all the time” and “wouldn’t be a problem.” I was also given the advice that the gift provider wiring the money directly would be “much easier.” This was proven wrong after I had to provide documents multiple times trying to prove the gift even though the money had already been wired to and confirmed received by the title company. Seemed like there was no need to confirm all the information from me when the title company could confirm it very easily. I would work on this process.
