When we went through the mortgage tax credit scenarios, it was calculated to be at 20% of annual interest rates uncapped so I was surprised to learn after we were closed in that our address was not eligible for 20% uncapped, but 25% capped. We were not aware that the address was not in an eligible zip code. We might have picked another mortgage option had we known this in advance.
